The Blended Online Youth Mental Health First Aid Course is for adults who are supporting, working, or living with adolescents (those between 12 and 18 years of age). The program is a guide for those who are the first respondents in situations where an adolescent may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
Completing this course assists Australian Teachers in maintaining accreditation. It will contribute 14 hours of Professional Development in the priority area of Student/child mental health addressing standard descriptors 4.1.2, 4.4.2, and 7.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Format: A self-paced eLearning component (5 – 7 hours) followed by 3 x 2.5-hour video conferencing sessions
